The infinity ring is a timeless symbol of undying devotion and heartfelt appreciation. This style has evolved into one universal piece worn by both men, and women alike!

Eternity rings, also known as infinity rings, are simple in design. The band is composed of gold or platinum and has uniform diamonds that are cut and size identical. Usually, these bands are worn on the ring finger beside wedding or engagement rings. Infinity rings are frequently given as bold proclamation gifts on anniversaries or to commemorate a significant life event. Many eternity ring types are replacing standard engagement or wedding rings as they become more popular.

HISTORY OF THE ETERNITY RING
Infinity rings are inspired by the Ancient Egyptians of 2000 to 1800 BC. The circle was recognized in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics as a sign of eternity. Egyptians also thought that marriage is such a strong relationship between a husband and wife that death can’t break it.

The ancient Egyptians may have been the first to come up with a wedding ring. The designs found in their tombs range from simple carved bone or gemstone bands, but they are all connected by an uninterrupted line that symbolizes eternity – something different than the average engagement/wedding band design!

The modern-day diamond infinity ring idea was originally proposed by De Beers in the mid-1960s. The eternity ring was created as a solution to an issue that plagued the jewelry business at the time. The single most prominent element of engagement rings during this era was a single huge diamond. However, the diamonds available on the market at that point were small. To avoid producing numerous 0.25 carat diamond wedding rings, De Beers introduced eternity rings.

SYMBOLISM OF ETERNITY RING
Eternity ring has a spiritual meaning. Eternity rings are designed to symbolize unshakable devotion and commitment. Diamonds are the most popular gemstones used in eternity rings because they’re the world’s toughest and most precious stones. Other gems, such as rubies, emeralds, and blue sapphires, are also frequently used.

Infinity rings are most often worn on the fourth finger of the left hand. This practice was likely established by the ancient Egyptians. The Egyptians (and many other civilizations, including the Romans) considered that this finger possessed a ‘vein of love’ that led directly to one’s heart.
